I just stumbled upon your article about how IKEA revamped their web applications using the microfrontend approach, and I gotta say, it's a fantastic read! 🙌
I couldn't help but relate to the story since a few years ago, I had the chance to work on a similar project at Mintos.com. We also ditched our old monolith setup and embraced microfrontends. Oh, it was quite the adventure!
Switching to a microfrontend architecture took almost 3 years for us, but it was worth it. We broke down our frontend into smaller, more manageable chunks, which allowed different teams to work independently.
As a result, we got very-fast iterations, frequent deployments, and a rock-solid, scalable app. 🚀
It's awesome to see big players like IKEA share the same experience and approaches on how to tackle this challege.
Cheers!
